About Us

Officially established in 2023, North Paws Pet Care is a culmination of my dedication to providing a high standard of pet service, spanning over 20 years. My journey in working with pets in a professional capacity dates back to 2000, when I began volunteering in the challenging and rewarding environment of the RSPCA in Perth. It would ignite a life-long curiosity and dedication to learning the intricacies of caring for our animal companions.

In 2002, I added grooming to my repertoire, and although I am now retired from grooming, the wealth of experience I gained remains relevant, enhancing my understanding of your pets' needs and ensuring their comfort. My in-depth knowledge of skin and coat care also enables me to identify small health problems that may grow if left unchecked, ensuring your pets' well-being is at the forefront of my care.

A few years later, I was offered a vet nursing apprenticeship by the vet hospital I was grooming for. Although no longer practicing, my experience provides me with a solid knowledge base to recognize when something might be slightly amiss with your pet. I am well-versed in administering oral, topical, and injection medications and experienced in monitoring and managing conditions such as diabetes, providing specialized care when needed.

As a professional pet carer, I carry specific insurance that includes coverage for animal transportation, and I hold a federal police clearance for added peace of mind.

My delightful 10-year-old daughter joins me as a heartwarming companion during our time in your home. Having been raised in the world of pet sitting, she is knowledgeable in animal behavior and seamlessly becomes an additional member of your pets' extended family. If allowed in your house, it's often her bed that your pets will end up spending the night with, creating an extra layer of comfort and familiarity for them.
